This site is a tribute to Sophie Claydon, who was born in Bury St Edmunds on May 30, 1992. She was a much loved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved life and had an extremely caring and infectious personality. She went to Thurston Community College, including sixth form, and worked as an HR Assistant at St Edmundsbury Borough Council. She had just started a university course in Ipswich. She fought an extremely aggressive kidney cancer with the utmost bravery and continued to life her life; caring more about others than her own plight. She was an inspiration to all who met her, including her medics and carers, who became good friends. She touched hearts, even in her darkest days, and will always be remembered.
In memory of Sophie.
So very sad. My thoughts are with you all.
In memory of Sophie, who was taken from all who loved her much too early when she had so much to give, as demonstrated by her strength, courage and amazing good humour in the darkest times. Much love from Ali & Steve Jones
